Event Description
How can an image be transformed into live performance? What methods can turn an everyday street observation into a theatrical scene? When ordinary gestures from daily life are combined with architectural space, can they be reimagined as meaningful, contemplative landscapes?Drawing inspiration from Helen Levitt’s street photography, this workshop invites participants to step into postwar New York through the simulation of bodily gestures. By exploring the physicality of the working class and the playful interactions of children—and integrating these with the spatial dynamics of Taiwan’s contemporary cultural experimental sites—the workshop seeks to create a bodily dialogue that transcends time, space, culture, and ethnicity.
