The Poetry of Hyperlink
This creative project regards the virtual reality (VR) headset as an "audiovisual machine" equipped with spatial perception capabilities. Through this machine, performers can enter and explore the digital space of the internet, interacting and engaging in dialogue with it. The project employs game engine technology and immersive sound systems to dynamically arrange digital objects constructed from vast amounts of data sourced from the internet. The combination of projection and immersive soundscapes creates a blended space where virtual and real environments merge. Performers become both observers and manipulators of these digital objects, able to re-encode and synthesize them, and switch between different perspectives via the game engine, thereby generating diverse audiovisual expressions and narrative forms.
