Exhibition Introduction

An opening with no clear cause, total chaos in the middle, and an abrupt ending. Lately, I only really feel immersed in the martial arts world when I'm reading short martial arts stories. Each narrative seems to pop up out of nowhere, with no clear origin or destination. They are reorganized into collections like fragments. Even though the stories aren't related to each other, every short piece still reflects a snapshot of its era or the author's intent.

This exhibition presents the current stage of the 2025 CREATORS program. It features a new video work that remixes footage from“The Solitary Revival” Film Project with behind-the-scenes recordings. It also includes the 2024 multi-channel desktop film “The Severed Arm”.

By piecing together these many fragmented materials, I hope to reflect the entire eight-month process of executing this project. Pieces even shorter than short stories are like the pixels of a digital image—they are trying to build a clearer picture using these tinier fragments. The process isn't just about trying to make a martial arts film as a one-person team; it's about representing the contemporary loneliness everyone feels in the vast world of digital media—that feeling of being seemingly close, yet actually alienated.
