Four artist talks will be held during the exhibition period, featuring the exhibition's curator CHUANG Wei-Tzu, along with Erica Yu-Wen HUANG, CHEN Kuan-Yu, and SHEN Bo-Yi as moderators, and WENG Chih-Chi as the panelist. The talks will revolve around the works presented in this exhibition, the long-term artistic practices of the participating artists, and their multifaceted interpretations of language and sound. These in-depth conversations with both local and international artists will offer insights into their creative concepts and artistic contexts.

Speaker Bio
▌LIN Yu-Hsuan
LIN Yu-Hsuan, born in 1994. He works in Taiwan as an independent curator. His past curatorial projects have focused on the ecological structure of art and social issues. In recent years, he has been thinking about how we coexist with disasters (natural, man-made, and political) through curation, the planning and imagination of different places, and the political relationships between people and spaces in this context. LIN’s curatorial practices included Safe Room (Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, 2025) , Passing Through (New Taipei City Art Museum, 2025), The 25-Hour Days (Keelung Museum, Keelung, 2024).
▌CHANG Ching-Wen
CHANG Ching-Wen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Arts and Design at National Tsing Hua University and a member of AICA (International Association of Art Critics). Her academic research focuses on Taiwanese art history and contemporary art, with particular attention in recent years to questions of “Taiwaneseness” and the construction of local theories within contemporary art. She specializes in examining the relationship between art and society, especially from the 1980s onward. CHANG previously served as Executive Chief Editor of Artist magazine. Her recent curatorial projects include Jun T. Lai: A Retrospective (2025), Art as Social Interaction: Hong Kong/Taiwan Exchange (co-curated, 2014), and Schizophrenia Taiwan 2.0 (2013-2015). Her major publications include Being, Transformation, Jun T. Lai, Painters of the 2000s: Selected Works, and Play/Interaction.
▌LIN Yi-Hsiu
Writer and art critic specializing in contemporary Taiwanese art and visual aesthetics. Experienced editor and contributor to art publications, with a focus on thematic curation, artist interviews, and cross-disciplinary research. Interests include historical traces in migration and cultural phenomena.
▌Joanne DENG
Joanne DENG is an actor, writer, and theater Director. She performs across theater, film, and video in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China and has published numerous short stories and essay collections. Her debut novel, Second Lead, won the Taipei Literature Award and was nominated for several other accolades. In 2015, she developed the “Fiction-Theatre,” which combines literature, theater, and contemporary art performances. Her works focus on the interplay of language, emotion, and narrative in various contexts. She was one of the artists selected for 2023 CREATORS Creation/Research Support Program.
