National Taiwan University Computational Physicality Lab Sudden Downpour
If AI conversations were no longer limited to text—if sound could move and dance with you—come experience an immersive storm shaped by your own hands.
In this exhibition, hearing and physical movement are key. Through a 49-channel speaker system, you can decide where every drop of rain falls, how the storm travels, and how sound surrounds you, transforming the entire space into a world of sound that you can walk through, shape, and feel. Air currents, raindrops, frogs, crowds—every living and non-living element becomes an essential performer.
Beyond the storm, there are many other sound-interactive experiences in different styles, along with live improvisational performances by dancers. Sound should not merely be “heard,” but should recreate the feeling of “being inside it,” exploring the many possibilities of humans and AI co-creating soundscapes together.
