WE Are Becoming

The 2026 annual exhibition of Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB), WE Are Becoming, will take place from May 8 to July 12. Centered on the concept of “Becoming”, the curatorial team moves away from the pursuit of fixed cultural identities and instead explores a state of ongoing formation—one that is fluid, intertwined, and continuously reconstructed through art. The exhibition proposes that as we retell stories together, we are no longer who we were yesterday; each return reshapes what “we” means.

Bringing together artists from nine countries—Taiwan, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Lithuania, and Peru—the exhibition presents 29 cross-media works. Audiences are invited to enter an ever-evolving cultural field and reconsider the role and possibilities of art in contemporary society.
