Chiayi Cultural & Creative Industries Park

About

Chiayi Cultural & Creative Industries Park, located next to the Chiayi Train Station, occupies an area of 3.9 hectares. Its predecessor was the Chiayi Old Distillery, the first in Taiwan to produce sorghum liquor. As such, Chiayi became known as the “hometown of sorghum liquor.

On April 1, 2023, the Taiwan Living Arts Foundation has established an office to operate and manage Chiayi Cultural & Creative Industries Park. Its goals are to assist the Ministry of Culture with the integration and promotion of cultural policies and develop this park into a “base for incubating cultural and innovative industries.” High-quality art exhibition and performance spaces are to be created, with provision and integration of support and platforms for local arts and culture, to establish a cultural and creative site for the convergence of cultural and innovative industries and the living arts.
