C-LAB Sound Festival: Diversonics
Art Space I, Taiwan Sound Lab, Taipei Zhongshan Hall
The Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB) has established the Taiwan Sound Lab in collaboration with the Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music (IRCAM) of France. The purpose is to explore the integration of new sound technologies, arts and culture. To announce its opening at C-LAB, these two organizations are presenting the C-LAB Sound Festival from November 22 to November 30, with sound technology works from Taiwan and France at C-LAB and Taipei Zhongshan Hall.
Theatre of Flows
Experts and performers will lead the visitors on a seducing parcours through a series of thematically organised spaces. They appear as editing rooms featuring videos, photos, installations and other findings of a quotidian life full of paradox and the confusing reality of their origins, circumstances and consequences.
Yao-Chi City, Taiwanese Paranormal Literature and Contemporary Art Exhibition
Art Space II
Yao-Chi City, Taiwanese Paranormal Literature and Contemporary Art Exhibition explores the horror genre in Taiwan through related works of literature and art, graphic novels, VR/AR, installations, performances games, and parades. The exhibition weaves together literature, folk traditions, and contemporary cultural settings to give all manner of demons and monsters their proper moment in the spotlight.
MASHUP all the CREATORS
Art Space IV
The important starting point of MASHUP all the CREATORS is an aim to extend the practices during “CREATORS Residency Program,” to explore possibilities of connection and hybridity, and to further find a new form of exhibition/performance/representation. It is not merely a performance, not merely an exhibition, not merely an archive or documentation of an event. It is, in additional to all, a manifesto of a newly-established cultural ecosystem declared by the C-LAB.
