Performance
NANONANO-narrative of landscape

When stepping into the unknown and dilapidated landscape, it seems that the whole world becomes quiet. The sound of footsteps disappearing on the wet sandy road seems to remind that this place has undergone countless destruction and reconstruction. Even in this decaying world, we can still feel some unusual energy flowing in the environment, everything here is so strange and familiar, the remains of indistinguishable contours are revealed in front of our eyes, making it impossible for us to imagine the original appearance of this place, leaving our senses at a loss. -- narrative of landscape

NANONANO is an art group that founded in 2019 by new media artist HSU Hsun-Hsiang and material engineer HUANG Yin-Hao. Using scanning electron microscope (SEM) from the technology industry as their main creative tool, they attempt to present the essence of materials in the most extreme perspective. Through the eye of technology, they reverse the viewer's basic perception of materials, and through their perspective, they create images of textures of various materials like secret underground cities, deep-sea ruins or lost civilizations, framing a new fantastical view of the world. They present their works through a combination of digital and analogical techniques, turning materials with a connected initiative into informative landscapes and bringing alternative perspectives on the world.
