DIVERSONICS, the title of 2021 C-LAB Sound Festival, means diverse sounds. The exhibitions and performances this year are divided into Contemporary Selection, Film Concerts, Sounds of Contemporary Dance, Installations and Performance, and Academy.
To show the creative energy of Taiwan’s higher education system on the stage of this festival, a special program, Academy, is launched this year, allowing young sound artists to practice techniques and accumulate experience in creation and performance. The program features The Soldier's Tale led by Prof. CHAO Ching-Wen of National Taiwan Normal University, Crossing led by Prof. TSENG Yu-Chung and Micro-Sounds led by instructor TUNG Chao-Ming of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Sound Waves of National Tsing Hua University’s AI Orchestra led by instructor LIN Yi-Jun , and Post Garden II - Counterpoint led by WU Shih-San of Taipei National University of the Arts, hopefully catalyzing the new generation’s dynamism in cross-domain creation and allowing them to practice theoretical ideas from experimental processes.
